DVSA has started to send text messages to candidates with a practical test booking that needs to be cancelled, rearranged or put on hold.

The message alerts your pupils that their test will not take place as planned and prompts them to check their inbox for an email with the full details.

Sent from GOV.UK DVSA

The text message will show on the phone as being sent from GOV.UK DVSA.

We are only able to send text messages if a phone number is included when your pupil books their practical car test, so please encourage them to include one.

If a landline number has been included with the booking, candidates will get a voice message on their landline.

Text alerts will not be sent for rearranged tests that were booked through the online business booking service.
