Storm Eunice is expected to cause significant disruption.

The Met Office has issued a rare Red Weather Warningfor parts of the UK tomorrow, 18 February 2022.

Tests in Red weather warning areas – 18 February

All car, motorbike, lorry or bus driving tests will be cancelled if booked at any of the following centres:

  • Barnstaple

  • Barry

  • Bodmin

  • Bridgend

  • Bristol Avonmouth

  • Bristol Kingswood

  • Cardiff

  • Cambourne

  • Llanelli

  • Llantrisant

  • Newport

  • Penzance

  • Swansea MPTC

  • Weston Super Mare

We will email all candidates affected and rebook them into the next available test slot free of charge. If this is not suitable, they will need to look for an alternative test date and time.

Currently all other tests will go ahead but it is possible that other test centres may be affected as a result of Storm Eunice. We are keeping this under review and will contact any candidates that may be affected.

Trainer booked tests

All trainer booked tests in red weather warning areas will be cancelled and trainer bookers will be refunded.

Travel in red weather warning areas

If you or your candidate live in a red weather warning area, you should not travel to a driving test. You will need to contact us and we will rearrange your test free of charge.

Driving Lessons

If you live in a red weather warning area you should follow Met Office travel advice.

Theory Tests

Our Theory Test providers. Pearson Vue and Reed in Partnership, will continue to assess the situation before they make a decision on site closures.

Any Theory Test customers impacted as a result of Storm Eunice will be contacted.

Driver services outage

As a result of Storm Eunice we are postponing our planned outage, and online services will remain available tonight (Thursday 17 February 2022).
