ADI National Joint Council have been made aware by several members of problems being experienced now that the re-booking process has started. We are trying to get answers for you. These issues include:
pupils who have received invitations to re-book before those pupils who originally had a test on a later date.
ADIs who have received notification to re-book tests for candidates they dont know.
candidates receiving email invitations to re-book that are addressed to the wrong person.
candidates who have been allocated a key worker test without being asked to prove eligibility.
whether the batches of emails going out are being sent out in the order of their original test, or in the order the original booking was made.
We've had a response from DVSA on the wrongly addressed emails: 😳
Following the phased approach to restarting driving tests on 22 July, we have been contacting candidates whose test was rescheduled to allow them to choose a new test time and date.
Due to a technical problem when sending these emails, some candidates will have received an email addressed to the wrong name. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused and we are taking steps to make sure this does not happen again.
Candidates are still able to choose a new time and date for their driving test using the link in the email they were sent.
Maybe they have not had enough time to get organised 😡😡😡😡😡 - Please keep me updated regarding any booked practical test dates so that I can schedule them into my system - The Redditch Test Centre was ‘open’ yesterday, a positive sign things are slowly getting back to some sort of ‘normal’ - Derek
