Encourage your students to pick up a copy of You’ve got this!

DVSA and FirstCar magazine have worked in partnership and will shortly be launching the ‘You’ve got this!’ pack for learner drivers, to make sure they’re fully prepared for their test.

We’re asking you to encourage your pupils to grab a copy of the pack from their local theory test centre.

We’ve designed the pack to meet the needs of learner drivers, whatever their stage of the learning. We offer your pupils essential information that will help them to pass their driving test first time, including:

• the most common test mistakes

• how to overcome nerves

• other tips to increase your chances of passing

The pack also includes the theory test edition of the FirstCar magazine, discounts and prizes.

FirstCar Practical

Pupils who take a driving test can now pick up the practical test edition of FirstCar magazine. Its ‘all you need to know’ guide will help your pupils transition smoothly onto the roads by offering in-depth advice on:

• choosing their first car

• getting value-for-money car insurance

• selecting the very best in in-car technology

• making sure they’re fit to drive

• avoiding distractions

The benefits to your pupils

In September 2019, FirstCar ran a survey among their audience, across practical and theory. After reading the magazine:

• 93% would adapt their driving and behaviour to being safer

• 89% had learnt something new about driving

• 78% were more aware of dangers on the road

• 69% felt they were a more confident driver

• 63% were better informed about driving

• 96% felt they had received valuable information
